I Fell In Love Over Coffee

I fell in love over coffee. But not just any coffee, Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee. Which is why I had so much fun working with Dunkin’ Donuts and Mom It Forward to bring you this awesome love story!

It started as a joke, really. My now-husband-then-guy-I-thought-was-awesome is from Boston. Every morning, he would get a Dunkin’ Donuts coffee. Iced coffee, hot coffee, you name it. This guy was going to show up with a Dunkin’ Donuts cup wherever he went to.

And I knew he was into me when he started bringing me one, too.

“How do you like your coffee?” He asked one day, and I didn’t know the answer. I wasn’t much of a coffee drinker at the time, and didn’t even know there were ways to drink it. “Don’t worry. I will come up with something you will love.”

He showed up with what Dunkin’ Donuts aficionados call a “regular.” Double cream, double sugar. If it was hot outside, he added ice. And I was in love.

With the coffee. I still wasn’t totally sure about the guy.

Eventually, our dates all either started or ended with a trip to Dunkin’ Donuts. If either of us showed up without it, we headed there without hesitation.

Then, we ended up in small town Texas without a Dunkin’ Donuts! Even now, for a special treat we get in the car and drive a few towns over so we can drink our favorite coffee and laugh about life. It’s the perfect date for us. But as far as coffee at home goes, we still bought their beans, but sometimes that just takes too long. When you want a coffee, you want it RIGHT NOW. And since we’ve switched over to our Keurig, we’ve been missing our daily Dunkin’ Donuts fix.

Until this morning when I surprised him with Dunkin’ Donuts K-Cup® pods! It’s IN MY GROCERY STORE! (And yours, too!) No measuring or filters. I just pop my favorite Dunkin’ Donuts K-Cup® pod in my Keurig brewer and enjoy!
