Everyone makes such a big deal about Valentine’s Day. I suppose it is the biggest holiday after Christmas, but there’s only so many red and pink hearts I can handle before I start questioning my sanity.

So while everyone else is fretting about their relationship status and buying overpriced chocolate and teddy bears, I’m always patiently waiting for the holiday that comes after it: St. Patrick’s Day.

What can I say? I’m a little less romance and a little more rowdy. So in preparation for that big day, I’m planning a bunch of different recipes for my epic party, including these St. Patrick’s Day Oreos.

Green Mint Oreos

And the best thing about this recipe? It is So. Super. Easy.

That bag of green candy melts?

All you have to do is follow the directions on the package to turn that stuff into some green gooey goodness. Or you can melt them with the sheer force of your blazing will. Or a microwave.

As long as it’s sweet and melty and still preferably green.

Then, you just dip each Oreo halfway into the melted candy and place them on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.

Take your special St. Patrick’s Day colored sprinkles (or, you know, just white and green sprinkles, if you want to be less fun about it) and scatter them over the melted candy coating.

Let the candy harden completely before serving.

You can stick them in the freezer if you want to speed up the process – and then enjoy!
