ugh I can’t do it!

Okay I have been thinking about work all day… what if I miss her first steps? I just know she is going to do it in school! I can’t believe I thought this was a good idea for us. I can’t believe I am even thinking about this. This is the dumbest thing I have ever done! I can’t leave Halle! I love her way too much, and now I am going to put her well being in the hands of some care giver that I don’t even know! Oh this is a BAD idea!

Everything will be fine. We’ve had Ian in daycare since he was six weeks old, and he’s a perfectly well-adjusted little man. Kids are resiliant and far more receptive to change than we are. She’ll love the opportunity to interact with other kids, and she’ll learn new things that you wouldn’t ever think to teach her. Ian picks up new stuff all the time – new words, new mannerisms, you name it. Really, she’ll be fine. Keep your chin up, and remember to watch out for the B.Y.C. He’s in my friend’s list – you should totally invite him.

Now, take a deep breath about the childcare thing. It’s going to be fine. If you feel strongly that it’s not a good idea than don’t do it. But if you’re just scared, it WILL BE fine. REALLY.
