Watching my hobby fit on the kitchen table…
So, I haven’t scrapbooked anything for myself in almost two years… I have done tons of projects from teaching, I have spent several hours staring and organizing my scrapbooking stuff, but I have NOT scrapbooked… why? Because I miss the days when my entire hobby fit on the kitchen table! I miss being able to sit out with my husband and watch whatever random tv show he was watching and just hang, but still be creative and happy!
Scrapbooking at some point became about more than just scrapbooking for me… it was about teaching it, about being the best… about owning a store…. it wasn’t just about being creative and putting my memories on paper anymore… and that’s when scrapbooking stopped being fun.
enter… SEWING. It fits on the kitchen table… I am BRAND new to the hobby, so it doesn’t matter if i screw up royally and sew some pants upside down (totally happened… I swear) It is JUST about putting something together and making it look awesome on my perfect kid. I am having so much fun with sewing… but I must admit, the more I love it, the more and more of my scrapbook stuff I am freecycling. 🙂

I used to scrapbook, too but it got to be too hard to pull everything out with the little ones around so now I digi scrap instead. Sewing though, is and always will be my first love! I bet it quickly becomes yours, too!
