Snuggling is a form of affection so you want to know how to do it just right especially since Valentine’s Day is around the corner. Make it a warm environment – Let me tell you that almost every woman is cold at all times so make the surrounding area you are going to snuggle in, warm. Light a fire, turn up the thermostat and make sure she is comfortable and warm. She’ll love you for it!

Bring on the blankets – Big, snuggly blankets can really make a snuggle session even better. Choose soft fabrics that be piled on one another for extra cushion and warmth. Kids and pets love blankets so the more the merrier! Even better, make sure the blankets are washed, clean and smelling great!

Capture the right scent. I know this may sound weird but think for a moment, when your spouse leaves for work, isn’t there a scent of them left behind on their pillow? Sure there is! There is a scent all of us fall in love with and it can instantly put us into snuggle mode. For me, I love the scent of my husbands cologne and I also the scent of our freshly washed linen. Small talk is the best choice here and you will win brownie or should I say, snuggle points by setting the mood.

Be present – The time spent cuddling with another person is priceless. So put away the electronic devices and fully be there in that time and place. Enjoy the little things about the people you are with and fully accept the snuggle session for what it is. You will feel like a better you in no time!
