I’ve been blogging long enough to know better. I still do it anyway.

Hi, I’m Jamie Slack — author of five books, founder of TotallyTheBomb.com, and writer of whatever I’m currently obsessed with. (You may know me as Jamie Harrington from my HuffPost and BuzzFeed days — same person, new last name, same chaos.)

I started Totally The Bomb twenty years ago, back when “having a blog” was still a personality trait. I’ve kept it going through layout changes, algorithm changes, life changes, and the entire arc of the internet learning what a comment section is.

These days the site is stories from real life — including the hard ones — the pop culture I cannot stop thinking about, the small absurd things that turn into a whole thing if you let them, and the survivor stories I keep telling because somebody has to. I write the way I talk — which, depending on the day, is either useful or a problem.

Quick name math, because the bylines get confusing: I was born Jamie Slack, and most of my published work — HuffPost, BuzzFeed, Fox News, Delish, Reader’s Digest, a handful of book covers — went out under Jamie Harrington. These days I’m back to Jamie Slack. Same writer, same voice, same email; just the byline finally caught up.
