Another $1,200 Stimulus Check May Be Coming Soon. Here’s Everything We Know.

The House Democrats just proposed a new plan and the key highlights are another round of $1,200 stimulus checks for most Americans and reviving the extra $600 weekly unemployment benefit
The new proposal would scale back an aid package to state and local governments by offering $436 billion, $225 billion to colleges and universities, and deliver another round of money to businesses under the Paycheck Protection Program.
This is a cutback from a $3.4 billion bill that passed the House in May, but still remains above what Senate Republicans are willing to accept.
Republicans have endorsed staying in the $650 billion to $1 trillion range.
“We’ve come down $1 trillion, and they need to come up because we have to crush this virus,” Pelosi said Monday on MSNBC. “It takes money to crush the virus. It takes money to make the schools safe. It takes money to put money in people’s pockets.”

As of right now we don’t know if this proposal will be passed by the Senate. However, there has been talks that they want to come to an agreement and get stimulus checks in the hands of people before election day.
