All The Barbies In The 'Barbie' Movie Got Together For A Sleepover When Filming Started And I'm Tickled Pink With Envy

Did you ever play slumber party with your Barbies when you were young? Or, maybe you do it now — I’m not here to judge.

Margot Robbie — who plays in the new Barbie movie that is slated to come out July 21 of 2023 — got to be part of a REAL LIFE Barbie slumber party. And, I’m kinda jealous!!

There has been a rumor floating around for awhile now that this movie is going to have a couple different versions of Barbie.

I’m wondering if it’s kinda like having all those Spider-Mans (Spider-Men?) in Spider–Man: No Way Home??

Well, the Barbie rumor might have been confirmed by Emma Mackey — who just might play one of the Barbies in the film.

We KNOW that Margot Robbie is set to play Barbie to Ryan Gosling’s Ken, but now we are getting just a bit more info on what’s possible going on with the movie.

It’s been kinda hush-hush thus far.

Will There Be More Than One Barbie In The Barbie Movie?

Emma Mackey had a sit down, spill the tea session with Empire, and she threw just a bit of that Barbie sparkle around — enough to make us want to go see the movie!

Mackey let it slip that “the Barbies” had a huge sleepover when filming started.

That makes it sound like the rumors are correct, and there is, in fact, more than one Barbie in this film.

Right in the beginning, we had a sleepover for the Barbies, which would involve playing games with Scott [Evans] and Ncuti [Gatwa].

Evans and Gatwa are also in the movie, according to IMDB, but we aren’t privy as to what role they are playing as of yet.

I don’t play games usually, because I get so competitive and angry. But Scott and I were top of the game.

Now, according to Yahoo, the Barbies in the film are going to be Margot Robbie, Emma Mackey, Issa Rae, Alexandra Shipp, Hari Nef, and more we just don’t know about yet.
