This Bisquick Coffee Cake Recipe is an easy coffee cake that has all of the taste of coffee with the consistency of cake. It’s truly the best coffee/cake combo and gives you the best of both worlds!

I won’t lie, when I first learned about making coffee cake it was a bit daunting. I thought it required way more steps than it did.
But once you’ve learned how to make your own coffee cake recipe from scratch, you’ll never want to head to your local Starbucks to grab some again!
In about 30 minutes, you’ll have the best tasting coffee cake and you’ll give yourself a pat on the back for making it yourself!
How to Make Bisquick Coffee Cake:
This recipe couldn’t be any more simple. You just add the Bisquick mix to the bowl.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Grease a deep pie plate or an 8″x8″ square pan.
Mix dough ingredients and put in baking dish.
Mix topping ingredients with a fork until crumbly.
Spread topping mix over dough evenly.
Bake for 25 minutes. Then serve up with a cup of coffee!
For the Cake
- 2 cups Bisquick
- 2/3 cup cold milk
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 egg
For The Topping
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup Bisquick
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

- Spread topping mix over dough evenly. Bake for 25 minutes.
