Blake Shelton has been a part of The Voice since day one.

He’s been with us through 22 seasons of the show — the only OG judge still standing.

But, sad times, he is calling it quits after this 23rd season comes to an end.

Blake is now giving us a bit of insight into his decision to leave the show that has changed his life in so many ways.

I think I was close to calling it a day right when COVID hit — And then, because of COVID, I didn’t want to walk away from the show and leave everybody in a bind. I mean, this show changed my life. I’ll stay here until the world kind of gets back to normal again.

I’m so glad he didn’t call it quits way back in 2020. It’s been a fun ride, seeing how everything plays out in his personal and professional life.

I met my wife on this show — It’s changed my life in every way it possibly can, from personal standpoint.

Of course, he is referring to Gwen Stefani — a relationship we all saw coming!!

When I came on as a coach on this show, I mean, everything in my life was turned upside down — And in a good way, you know? This has been incredible, but it’s time, you know. It’s time for what’s next. A little bit of nothing would be nice.

On his final season of The Voice, which starts on March 6th, Blake will be a judge next to Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan, and Chance the Rapper.

This is one season of The Voice that I’m definitely not going to miss!
