I love making cake mix cookies because they’re easy to make, and saves me from making a huge mess in the kitchen. As much as I love baking, sometimes I like having a quick “no mess in the kitchen” baking session when I want a cookie…and want a cookie now.

Cake mix cookies are the answer to all of your kitchen drama that you might have when you’re trying to have that internal debate of, “Should I make cookies now, or should I wait because it will take too long to make?”

Make these no bake truffless. Trust me. It’s painless, effortless, and my new way to make truffles (or cookies) in a flash!

What do I love more than cookies? Truffles. I think? Truffles are almost the key to life. Almost. I do love me some cookies.

Besides the powdered sugar and M&Ms to decorate, this literally has only 2 ingredients, and you don’t need to turn the oven on to enjoy them.

Make this No Bake Truffle Thumbprint “Cookie” Recipe

You’re not going to regret this decision at all to make my super easy thumbprint “cookie” recipe! Not having to put on the oven is awesome, so I love being able to make these truffles.

With this thumbprint “cookie” recipe, you’re going to use powdered sugar! It helps to give the cake mix truffles an extra hint sweetness without having to add in any additional sugar to the recipe. Besides that, it’s just something totally fun to do.

Fill These Yummy Cake Mix Thumbprint Cookies With What You Want

Personally, You can fill these yummy no bake truffles with whatever you want. I decided to make these even more fun and keep them as a fabulous no bake truffle.

What’s great is that you can use all sorts of different colored M&M’s to reflect the different holidays. Because you and I BOTH know that they come out with a huge array of colors all year long. It’s like watching the changing colors of the leaves. You kinda look forward to it.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 36 M&Ms

Instructions

  • With a mixer, beat cream cheese until fluffy.
  • Add dry cake mix and whip until uniform.
  • Form dough into 1" balls and place them on a baking sheet, and place in the fridge for an hour.
  • Roll balls in powdered sugar and press M&M in the center.
