The little details to catch before you start

Check your tortilla package: this recipe calls for 12-inch flour tortillas. There is a hash brown patty and a full breakfast’s worth of filling going inside each one, and the edges need to fold inward to close.

The hash browns start frozen, get flipped, and are then smashed thin with spatulas. The sauce is just Mexican crema and diced chipotle peppers in adobo. Set it aside while you finish the other components, then spread it on the tortillas before layering in the filling.

Once everything is tucked inside, the wraps go on the griddle seam-side down first. Keep that last toast in the plan; assembly is not the final step.

Ingredients

• 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 4 frozen hash brown patties
• 1⁄4 cup Mexican crema
• 1 tablespoon diced chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
• 6 large eggs
• Kosher salt and ground black pepper
• 1⁄4 teaspoon Blackstone Street Taco Seasoning
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 4 (12-inch) flour tortillas
• 8 ounces Mexican-style shredded cheese blend

Instructions

1. Preheat griddle to low. Add sausage and cook 6–7 minutes, breaking sausage into small pieces with spatulas, until browned. Remove and set aside.
2. Spread oil on griddle and add hash browns. Cook hash browns 2–3 minutes on first side and then flip and smash thin with spatulas for crispiness. Cook another 2–3 minutes until golden. Remove and set aside.
3. In a small bowl, mix crema and chipotle peppers to make chipotle crema. Set aside.
4. Crack eggs into a medium bowl and whisk in salt, black pepper, and Street Taco Seasoning. Add butter to griddle. Once melted, add egg mixture and scramble to your liking.
5. Warm tortillas on griddle 1 minute per side.
6. Assemble your crunchy wraps: On a work surface, lay each tortilla flat and spread with chipotle crema. In the center of each tortilla, layer sausage, cheese, hash browns, eggs, and more cheese. Fold tortilla edges inward, creating pleats to seal.
7. Place wraps seam-side down on griddle and toast 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
8. Slice and serve hot.

These pumpkin veggie cups turn carrots, celery, cucumber and broccolini into little Halloween party snacks, with dip tucked underneath. Everybody gets a pumpkin. Everybody gets their own ranch. The broccolini gets to have ridiculous hair.

The idea comes from Charcuterie & Things. The six photos below show the creator’s assembly sequence, from the ranch to the finished pumpkin. Here’s how to recreate the look for your own Halloween spread.

What You Need

• Mini jack-o’-lantern buckets or pumpkin-shaped food-serving cups
• Small food-safe cups that fit inside any decorative buckets
• Ranch dressing or your favorite veggie dip
• Carrots, cut into sticks
• Celery, cut into sticks
• Cucumber, cut into spears
• Broccolini, trimmed into small sprigs with enough stem to tuck into the cup
• A knife, cutting board and serving tray

Check the buckets before filling them. If they aren’t labeled for direct food contact, use them only as decorative holders. Nest a food-safe cup inside each one, with its rim above the bucket’s edge, and keep the dip and vegetables inside that cup. If an insert won’t fit, use a pumpkin-themed cup made for serving food instead.

Before You Start

Wash and dry the vegetables. Cut the carrots and celery into sticks and the cucumber into spears. Hold a piece beside your cup before cutting the whole batch: leave enough above the rim to grab, without making the cup top-heavy. Trim the broccolini into small sprigs.

The creator uses broccolini. Small broccoli florets can be a substitute if that’s what you have, but broccolini is what’s shown in the photos.

The photos show the creator filling the pumpkin buckets directly. Their food-contact rating isn’t established here, so use the food-safe insert described above unless your container is labeled for direct food contact.

How to Make Pumpkin Veggie Cups, Step by Step

1. Add the ranch

Set your food-safe cups or lined buckets on a tray. Spoon a shallow layer of ranch into each one. Leave room for the vegetables; you can add a little more dip before the cup gets crowded.

2. Stand the carrots in the dip

Place a few carrot sticks upright in the ranch. Keep some space around them for the green vegetables instead of filling the whole cup with carrots.

3. Add the celery

Slide celery sticks in beside the carrots, with their cut ends down in the cup. Spread them around the opening so you can see both the orange and green.

4. Tuck in the cucumber

Add cucumber spears in the spaces between the carrots and celery. Leave a few gaps for the broccolini, and keep the pieces loose enough that someone can pull one out.

5. Finish with broccolini

Tuck the broccolini stems into the remaining gaps, leaving the leafy tops above the rim. There’s the pumpkin’s ridiculous little hairdo.

6. Check the finished cup

Make sure the vegetables stand upright and are easy to grab. Turn the pumpkin’s face toward your guests, then use that first cup as your guide for the rest.

Keep Them Cold Until You Serve

Cover and refrigerate the filled food-safe cups until you’re ready to serve. If your decorative buckets aren’t suitable for refrigerator use, chill the inserts separately and set them into the buckets when serving.

For a longer party, bring out a few at a time and keep the rest cold. FoodSafety.gov advises discarding perishable food left at room temperature for more than two hours. That window drops to one hour when it’s above 90°F.

A Few Easy Ways to Make Them Your Own

Change the dip. Hummus or a thick veggie dip can go in the bottom instead of ranch. Pick a flavor your guests already like.

Use what you’ll actually eat. Bell pepper strips can stand in for one of the other vegetables. The pumpkin cup is doing most of the Halloween work here.

Prep in batches. Cut the vegetables and portion the dip into covered containers ahead of assembly. Build one cup first to check the fit, then use it as your guide for the rest.

Line the finished pumpkins up with their little faces pointing out. The vegetables deserve a decent Halloween costume, too.

And because apparently the drink needed a lunch date, there’s a whiskey BBQ chicken sandwich involved, too.

What is the Bulleit and Mike’s Hot Honey collaboration?

The main pairing uses Bulleit ’87, the brand’s bourbon-and-rye blend, served neat or over ice with Mike’s Hot Honey around the rim. You’re combining the two products in the glass; the announcement is about the pairing, cocktails and food collaborations.

The brands are also taking it on the road in the Bulleit Rider, an orange mobile bar. The announced roadshow spans 22 events in 15 cities and continues into 2027, with local food collaborations along the way.

About that whiskey BBQ sandwich

Los Angeles deli Ggiata is part of the collaboration with The Kentucky Hotshot. The limited-run sandwich features chicken marinated in Bulleit ’87 BBQ sauce and a finish of Mike’s Hot Honey.

That is a much more involved lunch plan than remembering to bring a sandwich from home. Check Ggiata’s current menu before making a trip for the special.

The partners have also announced food collaborations with Briscuits in Austin and Café du Monde in New Orleans. Those are separate local stops, so this isn’t a sandwich you can assume is available everywhere.

Two cocktail ideas from the brands

If the drink is what caught your attention, the official announcement includes these ingredient combinations:

• Hot Honey Old Fashioned: 1.5 ounces Bulleit Bourbon, two bar spoons of Mike’s Hot Honey (listed as approximately 1/8 ounce), two dashes of bitters and an expressed orange-peel garnish.
• Swicy Gold Rush: 1.5 ounces Bulleit Rye, 0.75 ounce lemon juice and 0.5 ounce Mike’s Hot Honey, with lemon peel or dehydrated lemon as the garnish.

These are the brands’ recipes, not drinks we’ve taste-tested. The ’87 version is the simpler option: whiskey neat or on the rocks, plus the honey-rim finish.

Where the roadshow is heading next

The announced New York stop is October 17, 2026, at Stone Street Oktoberfest, with complimentary cocktails, ’87 pours and giveaways. Other announced stops include Detroit, Dallas and New York events later in the season; check the brand’s collaboration page for updates before planning around a stop.

The chain announced a $12.99 Hallowings Bucket with 20 boneless wings, available October 25–31, 2026. It is a takeout-and-delivery offer, so the couch can remain part of your evening plans.

The dates and ordering method matter

According to Applebee’s official announcement, you will need to order through Applebee’s website or its mobile app. Choose the Hallowings offer and your wing flavor; no promo code is required.

The deal is limited to participating restaurants and available while supplies last. Third-party delivery sites are excluded, and delivery coverage depends on the restaurant.

That is the part to remember before opening your usual delivery app. The offer belongs in Applebee’s own ordering system, and it does not begin until October 25.

Six sauces, one very specific dinner decision

The announced choices are Classic Buffalo, Honey BBQ, Sweet Asian Chile, Garlic Parmesan, Extra Hot Buffalo, and Hot Honey Glaze. An order also comes with a choice of Bleu cheese or buttermilk ranch.

If you are feeding people with different spice tolerances, settle the sauce question before you hit checkout. Twenty wings sounds like a wonderfully low-effort plan right up until everyone realizes you chose Extra Hot Buffalo for the entire group.

What does $12.99 actually get you?

Dividing the advertised price by 20 works out to roughly 65 cents per boneless wing. That is a comparison of the listed food price, not a promise about your final delivery total. Check the checkout amount and any additional charges before placing the order.

The announcement describes the wings and dipping sauce; it does not promise fries, drinks or other sides. Plan the rest of dinner accordingly. A bucket of wings can do plenty of work, but it cannot be held responsible for someone expecting a complete party spread.

The limited-edition collection has six flavors, from Chocolate Chunk to Pumpkin Spice. The brands announced an October 1–31, 2026 run, so this is an October treat.

What’s in the box?

The 25-pack includes five Chocolate Chunk cupcakes and four of each of the other flavors. Here’s how the brands describe the lineup:

• Chocolate Chunk: Yellow cake, chocolate frosting and a chocolate chunk cookie piece.
• Fudgy Brownie: Chocolate cake with fudge inside, chocolate frosting and a brownie-cookie piece on top.
• Salted Caramel Chocolate: Chocolate cake with dulce de leche inside, salted dulce de leche frosting, cookie pieces and Maldon salt.
• Snickerdoodle: Yellow cake with a cinnamon filling, cinnamon frosting, cinnamon sugar and a snickerdoodle piece.
• Pumpkin Spice: Pumpkin-spiced yellow cake, cream cheese frosting and a pumpkin spice cookie piece.
• Monster: Yellow cake with a brown sugar filling, brown sugar frosting and a monster-cookie piece.

Salted Caramel Chocolate doubles up on dulce de leche, with a filling and frosting, plus Maldon salt on top. Pumpkin Spice gets the cream cheese frosting. Those are two very different routes through the same little box.

How much are they?

When checked October 14, Baked by Melissa’s product page listed the 25-pack at $43, the 50-pack at $78 and the 100-pack at $116. That works out to $1.72, $1.56 and $1.16 per mini cupcake, respectively, before shipping and tax.

The $116 price is a limited-time 20% discount from $145. The 100-pack has the lowest per-cupcake price at those listed prices, but it also means buying four times as many as the smallest box.

A gluten-free note worth checking

Baked by Melissa says these are made in its dedicated gluten-free bakery. Its product page also warns that nut ingredients are used in its kitchens, so gluten-free should not be read as nut-free.

Check the current assortment, price and delivery options before ordering, especially if you’re planning around a particular date.

The cookie was already dessert. Apparently, it wanted a frosting pedestal.

The brand’s two new flavors are Salted Caramel Almond and Mint Chocolate Cookie, both part of its Mix-Ins light ice cream lineup. According to Halo Top, each has 490 calories for the whole pint.

According to the brand’s October 13 announcement shared with Totally The Bomb, they’re beginning to roll out at select Food Lion, H-E-B and Hy-Vee locations for $5.99. That “select” matters before you make a special freezer-aisle trip.

What’s in the two new Halo Top flavors?

Salted Caramel Almond starts with brown butter-flavored light ice cream, then adds salted caramel swirls and praline almonds. So the almond part isn’t just a flavor in the background. There are actual nut pieces alongside the caramel.

Mint Chocolate Cookie combines mint light ice cream with fudge swirls and pieces of chocolate sandwich cookie. For anyone who usually ends up choosing between mint ice cream and cookies and cream, this is the flavor description to look at first.

The difference is pretty straightforward: one goes in a buttery, caramel-and-almond direction; the other pairs mint with chocolate, fudge and cookie pieces.

Where can you find them?

The initial retailer list is Food Lion, H-E-B and Hy-Vee, with availability limited to select locations. The announced price is $5.99, but local pricing and stock can vary.

Wider availability is planned for early 2027, according to the detailed rollout information Halo Top shared. For now, check your local store before heading out. A retailer being on the launch list doesn’t mean every location has both pints in its freezer today.

The 490-calorie number is for the whole pint

Halo Top says both flavors have 490 calories per pint. For nutrition, ingredient or allergy information, read the specific flavor’s label rather than assuming every Halo Top pint is the same.

For now, the useful shopping list is short: two new flavors, a $5.99 announced price, and three chains to check locally. Mint with actual cookie pieces is a very reasonable reason to open the freezer door.

The brand’s Christmas cheese and charcuterie collection puts those little cheese cutouts among sliced meats, nuts, dried fruit and other grazing-board ingredients. The boards arrive arranged, and the prices start at $139. This is firmly in food-gift territory.

The $139 Classic is the smallest option

The Classic Christmas board is listed at $139, with a stated serving range of two to three people. It comes on a reusable 9-inch-square acacia board with crackers and bamboo serving utensils.

Alongside the holiday-shaped cheddar, the lineup includes Gouda, cranberry Wensleydale, salami, chorizo, olives and nuts. The shapes do the festive work; you don’t have to cut a block of cheese into a tiny person yourself.

What changes when you go bigger?

The Medium is $169, a $30 step up. Its board measures 17 by 7.5 inches, and its cheese selection includes apple-smoked cheddar and fig-and-rose goat cheese. Check the full ingredient list for the size you choose, because these aren’t identical assortments in larger boxes.

The Large is $249, with a stated serving range of 10 to 14 people and a 17-by-13-inch board. It adds a holiday-tree cheese shape, more cheese varieties, four cured meats and three boxes of crackers.

Those prices are the listings checked October 14, before tax, optional extras or any applicable delivery surcharge. The serving ranges are Boarderie’s estimates; a snack before dinner and the main food for a party are different jobs.

Check the delivery details before sending one

Boarderie advertises free overnight shipping, but its shipping policy says certain major-holiday delivery dates may carry a surcharge. You choose the delivery date at checkout, so check both the available date and final total there.

The company recommends arrival at least a day before a specific occasion and doesn’t guarantee a delivery time. Its delay-refund terms also differ depending on whether you keep the optional package protection.

If you’re sending one as a gift, make sure the recipient can receive a perishable package and refrigerate it. Check the ingredient and care information for the exact board, too. The cheese gingerbread man is cute, but it still needs a refrigerator.

In an announcement scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, Dunkin’ is introducing Berry Battie, a bat-inspired character joining the returning Spidey D, the fan-favorite Spider Donut character. The new items build on Dunkin’s Halloween menu that debuted in September, so this is a new wave of Halloween treats and collectibles, not an entirely new fall menu.

Berry Battie gets a purple refresher

The Berry Battie Daydream Refresher is a purple drink finished with candy eyes, according to Dunkin’s advance announcement. It’s tied to the brand’s new Berry Battie character, who also gets a limited-edition cup accessory.

On Friday, October 16, you can get a free Dunkin’ Bat Cup Sleeve with an order of a Berry Battie Daydream Refresher in any size at participating Dunkin’ locations nationwide. The sleeve has plush purple wings that wrap around a cup. The offer is limited to one sleeve per order, while supplies last, so check with your local store before making a special trip.

The Spider Donut and Spidey D return

Dunkin’ says its Spider Donut is returning nationwide. The treat’s character, Spidey D, is also the inspiration for a new Halloween merchandise collection featuring sweaters, blankets, accessories, collectibles, and home décor.

Stop, that’s a bag? I could carry things in it? Oh my lord. Spidey is the luggage I didn’t know I needed.

The vase? Are you kidding me. The best part about that is that I have had many an amazing Dunkin cup, yet I seem to lose every single one.

Somehow the seasonal donut now has a whole merch universe. Honestly, that’s a pretty impressive career arc for a pastry.

There’s a glow-in-the-dark MUNCHKINS bucket

Dunkin’ is also introducing a glow-in-the-dark Halloween MUNCHKINS Bucket, along with additional Halloween bakery items. According to the brand, $2 from every Halloween MUNCHKINS Bucket sold will be donated to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation.

The bucket, cup sleeve, and merchandise are the pieces I’d watch closely if you collect seasonal fast-food releases. Exact inventory can vary by location, and the cup sleeve is tied to a specific giveaway date.

When does Dunkin’s Halloween launch happen?

Wingstop announced its collaboration with Sour Patch Kids on October 13, 2026, and the resulting flavor is called Sour Patch Kids Wicked Punch.

It features a sour-then-sweet Redberry glaze finished with colorful Sour Patch Kids Bitz. So we’ve got chicken, a fruity candy-inspired sauce, and little pieces of Sour Patch Kids on top.

I have so many questions.

Is this brilliant? Is this an elaborate Halloween prank? Have we officially run out of normal things to put on chicken?

I don’t know, but I absolutely need to hear what people think about it.

And this isn’t just for traditional chicken wings. Wingstop says the new flavor can be ordered across its protein options, meaning you can get your candy-covered chicken in more than one form.

When can you get the Sour Patch Kids wings?

Here’s the important part: they’re not available to everyone today.

• October 23, 2026: Club Wingstop members get early access.
• October 27, 2026: The flavor rolls out at participating U.S. locations nationwide.
• November 5, 2026: The promotion ends, while supplies last.

Are the wings actually sour?

The official description emphasizes the familiar Sour Patch Kids sour-then-sweet combination, with a Redberry glaze and candy pieces on top.

But Wingstop hasn’t provided a detailed flavor breakdown explaining exactly how sour the finished chicken tastes. So I’m not going to pretend I’ve tried these or tell you they’re delicious.

What I will say is that fruity sauces with savory food aren’t automatically a terrible idea. It’s the little candy pieces that are making this situation particularly entertaining.

This is part of an even bigger Halloween candy takeover

The collaboration is connected to Sour Patch Kids’ 13 Days of Mischief Halloween campaign. Apparently, the candy aisle was no longer enough territory for them. They’re coming for dinner now.

And honestly, as ridiculous as this sounds, I can already imagine someone showing up to a Halloween party with a giant box of these. The question is whether everyone immediately grabs one—or stands around taking pictures because nobody can believe what they’re looking at.

Would you actually eat these?

I feel like there are two types of people in the world. People who hear “Sour Patch Kids chicken wings” and immediately lose their appetite. And people who are already figuring out how to get early access.

I haven’t decided which person I am yet. But I do know this: Halloween food is officially getting weird, and Wingstop may have just given us the most ridiculous fast-food collaboration of the season.

Sour Patch Kids Wicked Punch arrives for Club Wingstop members October 23 and reaches participating U.S. Wingstop locations October 27. It’s scheduled to disappear after November 5.

Pricing, side choices and participation vary by restaurant, and some upgrades cost extra.

What’s the Mountain Dew Trolli drink?

When they’re coming to grocery stores
