Even if you haven’t seen the Partridge Family, you’ve no doubt heard the name Danny Bonaduce.

Sure, he’s been in a ton of other things here and there, but he will forever be that little red-headed cutie from the Partridge Family to me.

Well, today there’s sad news on the Danny Bonaduce front.

More than a year ago, Danny started experiencing bizarre symptoms, and doctors couldn’t figure out what the heck was wrong with the guy.

He was having slurred speech and a lot of balance issues that were affecting his ability to function on a daily basis.

For a solid year, doctors were baffled about his condition.

Now, they finally have a diagnosis, and it isn’t the best.

The doctors finally decided that his symptoms were caused by hydrocephalus — the buildup of fluid in the brain. It can cause damage to the brain, and bizarre, stroke-like symptoms.

They don’t really know what caused it, but Danny will be the first to admit, he’s done some pretty stupid things in his life that could have led to the diagnosis.

On a reality TV show, I took a guitar to the head. That hurt and was possibly the cause of all this. I got punched in the face by Jose Canseco, a 250-pound professional athlete.

The way to fix — or more correctly, help — this little hydrocephalus problem is to perform brain surgery.

The doctors will place a shunt in Danny’s head to drain the extra fluid off his brain.

From what I hear, if the diagnosis is correct and it’s hydrocephalus, it will be 50 percent better right out [of surgery].

This should ease the symptoms that he’s been having. It may not fix them completely, but any amount of “better” is good.

I can’t walk correctly. I just can’t. Ten percent would be great, but I’m going for a full-blown [fix]… I’m never going to run track, I’m never gonna box again, but if I can get from here to the kitchen on my own, bravo!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Danny during this difficult time. Speedy recovery, my friend.
