Disney World Is Officially Closing The Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser Hotel Permanently
Passengers on the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser, this is your captain speaking.
The Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser is scheduled for its last voyage.

Cue the upset “awhs”.
The two-day hotel experience located at Disney World is officially closing, so for those of you who have a trip booked, here’s what you need to know.

Disney’s Star Wars hotel is unlike the rest of its competition considering this room and board includes an immersive stay that lets you throw yourself in a true Star Wars story.
Not to mention it’ll cost you a pretty penny to secure a room too, including some family packages that nearly totaled to $6,000 for just two days.

Nonetheless, the immersive experience has not only won a Thea Award but also achieved some of the best ratings from guests who have stayed aboard the ship in the history of Walt Disney.

The Galactic Starcruiser plans to take it’s last voyage come this fall.
Star Wars fans can expect the Starcruiser to travel for the last time between the dates of September 28-30.

And for those of you are running to Disney’s website to book a trip because of the ship’s fate, keep in mind that Disney has paused all reservations for the Galactic Starcruiser until May 26.
So for those of you who already have tickets, Disney will reach out to accommodate anyone who will need to reschedule or cancel plans; refunds will also be available if necessary.

“We are so proud of all of the Cast Members and Imagineers who brought Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to life and look forward to delivering an excellent experience for Guests during the remaining voyages over the coming months,” according to Disney’s update on their website. “Thank you to our Guests and fans for making this experience so special.”
