Elon Musk is Officially Resigning as CEO of Twitter

Oh snap – I don’t think any of us actually thought he’d do it… but it’s happening!!

Elon Musk is officially resigning as CEO of Twitter and abiding by the results of his Twitter poll.

In case you didn’t know, Elon Musk purchased Twitter for $44 Billion.

And since that time, people have NOT been happy about his takeover.

Well, Elon being Elon, posted a Twitter Poll on December 18, 2022 saying:

Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll.

And sure enough, the results were an overwhelming ‘yes’ from poll takers.

Welp, Elon’s latest tweet proves he plans to abide by the results.

He posted on Twitter this evening saying:

I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams.

So, looks like it’s actually happening.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Twitter next…
