You Can Now Watch Classic Movies On The Big Screen At Your Favorite Theaters. Here’s How.
I love classic movies, and usually watch them at home. However, there really isn’t any comparison to watching a movie on the big screen in a nice movie theater.
Flashback Cinema is a program that does just that! They celebrate classic movies by bringing them back to the big screen.
They have theaters all over the country that participate in the program. Each week a different classic movie is showcased back on the big screen at your closest location.
The participating theaters do this on Sundays and Wednesdays. They have the films programmed as a series, 6 weeks at a time.
The series categories
- Family Classics
- Adventure Classics
- Musical Classics
- Harry Potter
John Hersker is the creator of Flashback Cinema. He also does an on-screen introduction for each movie screening.
The current list of movies coming up:
- Gone With The Wind – Starting April 16
- Citizen Kane – Starting April 23
- Tremors – Starting April 30
- The Wizard of Oz – Starting May 7 (Mother’s Day Week)
- The Dark Knight – Starting May 14
- Trading Places – Starting May 21
- Grease – Starting May 28
All of those movies are AMAZING! I am super excited about seeing ‘Tremors’, ‘The Wizard of Oz’, and ‘Grease’ on the big screen!
This would be a great way to spend some time with the family enjoying an old favorite in an actual theater!
