If you’ve ever dealt with a car seat — like AT ALL — you are probably very familiar with the twisted car seat strap.

Like, how does that even happen? It’s straight when you put the kid in there. But, go to take them out, and the strap has turned backwards.

I don’t know HOW it happens, but it definitely happens ALL THE TIME.

You aren’t a real parent if you haven’t spent time trying to untwist a car seat strap, AMIRITE?!?

Well, this genius mom on TikTok has figured out a way to fix the twisted car seat situation. I’m just gonna say it, she’s a genius.

Not only does this hack fix the twisted car seat dilemma, but it’s almost TOO easy!

Do you know how many times I’ve struggled and fought with a twisted strap to try and fix it? I inevitably always ended up teaching my kids a few new fun words in the process.

If I would have just known this crazy simple hack, I could have saved so much time and energy!!

So, the first thing you do is unbuckle the car seat straps.

Now, you want to pull the buckle of the twisted strap all the way down to the bottom of the seat.

Then, you’re going to take the twisted strap, and make a right angle at the twist — make that high school geometry work for you.

Next you just gently work the buckle up and over that right angle.

VOILA!! Fixed.
