Here’s Why Polish Police Say the Woman Claiming to Be Madeleine McCann, Isn’t Her
The investigation is not over regarding Madeleine McCann’s disappearance.
However, police have confirmed a major truth in the missing person investigation.
Julia Faustyna, who also goes by Julia Wendell or Julia Wandelt, has recently made the claim that she believes she is Madeleine McCann with a series of social media posts to help prove her belief.
After posting side by side photos of herself and Madeleine, Julia even created the Instagram handle @iammadelinemccann with a bio that stated Madeleine’s parents agreeing to a DNA test.
However, police have confirmed that Julia is not Madeleine McCann but have not explained how they concluded to the finding.
The news comes only one day after Julia’s family released a statement denying her claims, and that they were devastated over the present situation, according to Polish news outlet Gazeta.
Faustyna’s family had also declined to DNA testing per the New York Post, but rather the mom mentioned that she has documents to prove that Julia is her birth daughter, according to a private detective who told UK Sun.
Most recently, Julia has sparked attention on social media after posting videos and photos claiming that she is Madeleine, the toddler who disappeared at the age of 3 from her bed in a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal on May 3, 2007.
On social media, Julia explains that she has evidence to support her claim and has also noted that she has the same rare eye condition and resemblance in similar features.
Julia also claims that her parents have avoided discussing her early childhood.
While some memories Julia explained has she doesn’t remember and others are hazy, she has even said that one of her teacher’s noted that she has not attended the same primary school throughout her life despite what her parents have stated.
