Homemade Waffle Mix
Now that school is starting all over the country, breakfast is becoming something a lot of parents dread. We don’t want to send our kids to school hungry, but at the same time who has time to cook before everyone rushes out the door? This Homemade Waffle Mix is exactly what you and your family have been searching for! Don’t depend on fast food to get your kids going…make mornings count with this delicious (and very fast) breakfast favorite. The best part is that it can be stored dry in a container so as long as you have some on hand, you’ll always have breakfast ready and waiting. Enjoy!
What You Need To Make Homemade Waffle Mix:
- 2 Cups Flour (use coconut flour to make gluten free)
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
Note: optional 2 Tablespoons Soy Flour to make Egg Free
How To Make Homemade Waffle Mix:
In a large bowl combine the ingredients with a whisk. Store in an air tight container.
How To Use Homemade Waffle Mix:
Add one cup of water and one cup of milk to a bowl. Add in 2 tablespoons of oil and 1 tablespoon of vanilla. If you didn’t use the Soy Flour add in 2 eggs. Whisk.
Mix the dry ingredients (your mix) with the wet ingredients. Whisk but leave slightly clumpy.
Spoon batter into waffle iron of choice and follow it’s instructions.
Top with powdered sugar and blueberries once fully cooked.
Serve and enjoy!
Pro Tip: This same exact recipe can be used to make pancakes or be used as a delicious batter for things like fried hot dog bites, etc. For a thicker consistency, mix the wet ingredients in slowly until desired consistency is reached.
