The Princess Bride is by and far the best movie to have ever been made, ever. When I was a teenager, I had the entire movie from the opening sound of “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” all the way to the ending song “Storybook Love” memorized. Every word, every pause, every single bit of the movie. That being said, this Honest Trailer of The Princess Bride still cracked me the heck up. Why? Because I can laugh at myself and the things I love. Take a look!

Okay, yeah, Buttercup is a bit of a brat. And there are definitely a lot of catch phrases that repeat. But isn’t that what we love about it? I mean, part of having an epically quotable movie is having lines that are epically quotable. “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means,” is one of my favorite lines to quote, basically all the time. Still, from the politest villains ever to the strangest band of criminals, The Princess Bride will Always be my favorite movie.
