J.K. Rowling Will Not Be Joining The Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Special And I Think We All Know Why
The Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts celebration is coming up! And one of the biggest questions has been whether J.K. Rowling will be attending…
The answer is no, which we all saw coming. When the announcements for the four-part HBO Max special was announced, she wasn’t.
Rowling has become a controversial topic due to some remarks that have marked her as transphobic. And in today’s culture, led to her being ‘cancelled’. This is most likely why we haven’t seen her linked to any recent Harry Potter events.
The allegations against her have led to many people walking away from the Wizarding World entirely, while others are still fans as long as she’s not involved anymore.
Whatever your thoughts are on Rowling and the allegations against her, you do have to remember that she is the one who brought us this beloved series. You can’t have one without the other.
So her not being a part of the anniversary is to save the franchise I’m sure, but it still doesn’t seem right…
