Jeep is Releasing An All-Electric Jeep Recon Inspired by the Wrangler
The Jeep Wrangler welcomes a sibling.
Meet the new and all-electric Jeep Recon inspired by the infamous Jeep Wrangler!
For those who enjoy extreme off roading, let’s just say that Jeep has been on a roll for perfecting the type of car that can take adventures off pavement.
Although unlike the Wrangler, the Jeep Recon will be a 100% zero-emission off-roader and will also be designed as a battery-electric vehicle.
Here are a few new features the Jeep Recon welcomes:
- Doors that remove including the glass
- True “Trail-Rated” Capability
- Jeep Selec-Terrain Traction Management System
- e-Locker Axle Technology
- Underbody Protection
- Tow Hooks
- Aggressive Off-Road Tires
- One-Touch Powertop
“The all-new, all-electric Jeep Recon has the capability to cross the mighty Rubicon Trail, one of the most challenging off-road trails in the U.S., and reach the end of the trail with enough range to drive back to town and recharge,” said Christian Meunier, Jeep CEO in a recent press release.

The new Jeep will be open for viewing to the public next year, but production for the car won’t begin until 2024 in North America.
However, customers in the U.S. who are interested in the shiny new car can make a reservation early next year, while Jeep plans to sell the new SUV in most major markets around the world!
