If you ever find yourself in a situation where your stomach hurts and you are feeling nauseous, knowing about the viral TikTok Jello Water may be useful and a quick way to help you feel better.

Because let’s be honest, there is nothing worse in this world than feeling like you are going to throw up.

Everything from drinking Sprite to taking Zofran, and every home remedy known to man in between.

One thing I have never tried — but I’m absolutely going to be trying from now on — is Jello-O water.

This little trick has the world of TikTok going crazy right now, with influencers touting the praises of this home remedy that our grandmas knew about all along.

Seriously, people swear by Jello Water as being a cure-all (it won’t really cure all) for feeling unwell.

And nope. It’s not a new trick.

If your grandma is still around — first of all, you are lucky — ask her about the miracle that is Jell-O Water.

This tasty home remedy has actually been around for YEARS, and it’s worth giving a try.

You might be surprised at just how easy Jell-O water is to make. It is the new wellness recipe taking the internet by storm.

If you can make Jell-O from a package, you can totally make Jell-O water.

Ingredients Needed To Make Jell-O Water

You can use whatever 3 ounce flavor of Jell-O you want.

For me, it would be Cherry or Berry, all day long.

Then, you just need 1 cup of boiling water and 1 cup of cold water.

Yep. Just like the box says to do.

Here’s How To Make Jell-O Water

It’s literally exactly like the back of any jell-o packet tells you to do.

You are going to start by bringing your water to a boil on a stovetop. You will then stir the entire box of powdered Jell-O together with the 1 cup of boiling water.

Keep stirring until everything is nice and dissolved.

Then stir in 1 cup of cold water.

Now, when you get to the step on the box that tells you to stick the liquid Jell-O into the fridge, skip that part.

Pour your liquid jello mixture into a microwave-friendly mug.

Here is where you can optionally stir in a squirt of honey — it has some great anti-microbial properties. Or even add a dash of whipped cream on top.

Just pop your mug into the microwave (make sure you DON’T put your metal spoon into the microwave with the mug) until your desired temperature, and VOILA!!

Now, drink your Jell-O water.

Be careful not to burn your mouth!

Why Does Drinking Jell-O Water Help With Nausea?

No. It’s not voodoo or some Harry Potter wizarding magic.

Jell-O, or gelatin, is another virus-friendly food. Gelatin is easy on the stomach, and it helps keep your blood sugar regulated, giving you the energy you need to fight off your sickness.

It is also great if you have a cough or sore throat.

Jell-O is thicker than water, and coats your throat as you drink it.

It’s basically a miracle in a mug. *Smile Emoji*

Gelatin is a protein that may promote skin, joint, hair, nail, and gut health. It also provides essential amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, which can provide potent health benefits.
