Here’s Your First Look At Lark Voorhies In The ‘Saved By The Bell’ Revival
I have to admit that when I was writing about the ‘Saved By The Bell‘ revival, I was sad that I did not see her name as part of the show. I had wondered if it had to do with her illness.
Lisa Turtle was one of my favorite characters on the original show and it didn’t sit right with me to not have her on the revival. But now, we will see Lark back as her original character.
when the show picks up with Lisa, she is thriving with a successful career in fashion.

They didn’t say how many episodes she will be in, but I’m just happy to know she is included. She was also in the three specials that followed the original show: Hawaiian Style; The College Years; and Wedding in Las Vegas.
I have to admit I did feel a bit slighted and hurt when I was not invited to be part of the Saved by the Bell reunion, as well as other cast members’ events. Yet, of course, I also realized that having this puzzling disorder may have played a major part in that factual decision.

Lark Has Schizoaffective Disorder
She did say that she was hurt when she wasn’t originally invited to return for the revival, and I don’t blame her. I remember when she had talked about being diagnosed with Schizoaffective disorder and what a struggle that had to have been.
Schizoaffective disorder is a mental health disorder that is marked by a combination of schizophrenia symptoms, such as hallucinations or delusions, and mood disorder symptoms, such as depression or mania.

My hope is that being back on the show, it will give her the spotlight again! Then she can be a voice for others with Schizoaffective disorder and raise awareness.
You can watch the ‘Saved by the Bell’ revival beginning November 25th on Peacock.
