Gingerbread house building is one of those activities that will always be associated with the Christmas season.

To celebrate the holiday season, Lowe’s is giving away several gingerbread houses for free, so here’s how to get yours!

Stashed behind the customer service desk, customers can walk into Lowe’s stores and claim their free edible holiday house by asking customer service first, as long as you’ve registered for the kit beforehand.

Gingerbread house architects can choose between building a city townhouse, a cool cabana, a traditional house or a mid-century modern masterpiece.

Registration begins December 6 with a limited-quantity of holiday kits, while December 9 through the 13 is for pick-up.

Not to mention, gingerbread house enthusiasts can also register for the Great Holiday House Showcase on December 18 to attend a free virtual event to grab inspiration for your gingerbread house making!

  1. This is confusing, because in my area we have Lowe’s Hardware (a hardware store – who’d a thought?) and Lowes Foods (a grocery store). I think you are talking about the hardware store here, since it has more locations, but I’d hate to be wrong!
