Lucky Charms may be the cause of 3,000 people coming down with gastrointestinal issues in the last couple days.

I have 2 boxes sitting in my kitchen right now. Yikes.

The Food and Drug Administration just announced that they are starting an investigation against Lucky Charms. Reports are coming out that cereal lovers across the U.S. are becoming sick after eating bowls full of those famous dehydrated marshmallows.

There is a website where people are going to report their tummy issues. It’s called iwaspoisoned.com, and more than 3,000 people claimed to have become sick from the cereal.

Some of the issues that people are reporting are diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, and vomiting. You know, all things you DON’T want to happen from eating cereal — or anything for that matter.

Reports of these stomach flu-like symptoms are piling in from every state — including Alaska and Hawaii.

Lucky Charms says they are looking into the matter, but haven’t been able to find a link that would cause such a giant number of illnesses.

Food safety is our top priority. We take your concerns very seriously. Through our continuing internal investigations, we have not found any evidence of consumer illness linked to the consumption of Lucky Charms.

Now, no recalls have been issued yet for the cereal. Of course, we will let you know if and when a recall is declared.

If you think you have gotten sick from dining on a bowl of those magically delicious marshmallows, you should contact Lucky Charms directly.
