This washi tape unicorn is everything. I am in love with all things washi tape, and I can’t stop washi-ing things. (Is that a word? It is now, y’all.)
So, here’s the great thing about this little washi tape unicorn, it doesn’t HAVE to be a unicorn. You can decorate all sorts of things with washi tape using this super simple technique. I’ve decorated triphies, action figures, baseballs, hockey pucks, you name it. Just about anything can be washi-fied! (Oh yeah, I am going with it. It’s a theme at this point.)
What You Need To Make a Washi Tape Unicorn:
- A Unicorn Figurine (I got mine here, but you can use any item you want to decorate)
- White Spray Paint
- Washi Tape

How to Make A Washi Tape Unicorn:
- Spray paint your unicorn white. Why? Because washi tape is kind of see-through and this will make your tape show up all crisp and colorful-like.
- Let your unicorn dry really well. (Like maybe a day or two.) And then cover it with your tape. You can do zig-zags, patterns, all sorts of things. My kiddo has washi-fied almost everything in her room! If you want to just add little bits of tape, it makes a cool colorful confetti effect.
- That’s it. Now you have an awesome washi tape figurine, and it takes NO TIME. Who knew you could be a Pinterest hipster so fast?
