There’s A Massive Butter Shortage. Here’s What You Need to Know.

The holiday baking season is on the way and one of the biggest staples you will need is butter.

Unfortunately, there’s a massive butter shortage and it’s worth knowing about.

Butter is one of those must-have items for any holiday baking whether it’s casseroles, cookies or even to butter up that turkey dinner, it’s a need.

With that being said, there is a huge shortage of butte on the way and it’s also quickly become one of the most expensive items in the grocery store.

Why is there a butter shortage?

According to reports, between supply chain issues post-2020 and the increase in cost of food to feed the cows, butter remains scarce.

Butter prices jumped 32% in September and is the sharpest increase seen in any food category in last month’s Consumer Price Index.

Prices are expected to soar the remaining months of the year.

So, what does all of this mean?

It means buy butter while you can and stock up. I highly recommend even buying in bulk from Sam’s Club or Costco to have enough to last you through the holidays.
