Oh, and Carrie-Anne Moss is back as Trinity, too.

Red pill, blue pill, doesn’t matter which one you take, you LOVE Keanu Reeves. And he is coming back to the Matrix in Matrix 4 as Neo.

And Carrie-Anne Moss will be back as Trinity, too.

According to Variety, Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures will produce and globally distribute the film. Warner Bros. Picture Group chairman Toby Emmerich made the announcement.

“We could not be more excited to be re-entering ‘The Matrix’ with Lana,” said Emmerich. “Lana is a true visionary — a singular and original creative filmmaker — and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing and producing this new chapter in ‘The Matrix’ universe.”

We don’t know anything about the plot yet, and there are rumors that Morpheus may be played in a different way by someone younger.

The idea though is that so many of the things that they predicted in the Matrix 20 years ago have actually come true, and some aren’t even considered Matrix-ey anymore.

So this film will not only get into that but explore what else could happen.

The original Matrix movie actually turns 20 this year, so this is an awesome way to celebrate.

I, for one, can’t wait.
