This McDonald’s Commercial Hits Moms Of Tweens Right In The Core, So Get Ready To Grab a Tissue
I’m not a dad, so I can not speak for dads… but I am sure they go through a lot of the same emotions that moms do. Watching our kids go from being kids to going through the changes towards becoming adults, it’s hard.
Those periods in there that we call the “tweens” and “teens” can be so hard for us parents. It’s hard for our kids too! There are parts of them that just want to still be a kid, and when that part breaks through it is so exciting for us.
McDonald’s in the UK put out a super emotional, heartstring-pulling commercial for the holidays. It gave me all sorts of feelings and now my eyes are swollen.
It truly seems like it was just a few months ago that all of my kids were well, kids. Now I am a mother to an adult with her own child, which makes me a granny. Then I have 2 teenage daughters here at home with me still.
I miss them being little, but I do enjoy seeing the people they are turning into. Luckily all of my girls still like doing things that they enjoyed as kids, I am so thankful for that.
They still need you
Yesterday we spent a good bit of the day playing “Apples to Apples” and “UNO” and laughing a LOT. It was a great time and today we have some crafting time planned together.
I’m really very thankful that they still like to hang out with me, but this commercial still got me all tangled up in my feelings. Sometimes they really just don’t want to and that’s ok too.
This commercial is dedicated to us moms of older kids. The kids that struggle with being the kid and growing up.
Grab your tissues and watch below and know that yes, your growing kids still need their mama’s!
