I’m a horror movie fanatic, and I guess I’ve really never considered movies like “Hocus Pocus’ or ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ as scary or even threatening movies.

I was shocked to learn that one Texas mom thinks that the fictional witches could actually cast a spell on children through the television.

A worst case scenario is: you unleash hell on your kids and in your home.

Jamie Gooch, a mom of three living in Troy, Texas, told KOLD News Channel 13

I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews on the newest movie, but none of them imply spellcasting through the screen.

The mother from Texas had made a Facebook post that went viral about how ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ could affect children, but the post has since been deleted.

The whole movie is based on witches harvesting children for blood sacrifices. Do not watch this film. Everybody thinks it’s fake and innocent, but they could be casting any type of spell that they want to, anything could be coming through that TV screen into your home.

Jamie Gooch says that she hasn’t watched the movie, but had heard all about it from her friends.

I love everything to do with house and home, I love creating a safe environment for my family and friends to come into, I believe everything starts here, it all starts at home. So beware — and be aware — of what we’re bringing into our homes and our everyday lives, my husband and our children should be experiencing something different here in our home than they’re experiencing out in the world.”

Jamie thinks that these fictional witches can manifest something in your home through the TV, while I am a very religious person, I also understand reality versus fiction.

We have always allowed our children to watch actual horror movies with us at ages that we knew they could differentiate reality and fiction.

If you want to worry about a movie affecting children, let’s talk about ‘The Exorcist’ because my 47-year-old self is still suffering from that movie ha!

I believe whatever comes in our TV screens: there are things attached to that, I’ve seen for myself the things that I’ve watched with my eyes or heard over a TV screen, they’ve become manifested in real life, and then I think ‘oh my gosh, what did I consume?’

I mean, if your children are not able to understand that the movie is fictional, then maybe they shouldn’t be watching it yet.

There was another person that said that they don’t understand why parents allow children to watch horror movies and slasher films… to that I say it varies on the kid and their understanding of things.

Plus, a good slasher film is a great way to prepare kids for the real world in my opinion.

Always be cautious out there because the real world is most definitely scarier and more dangerous than a fictional movie.

What are your thoughts? I mean, I consumed tons of horror films growing up and I think I turned out alright… my body count is still currently zero and I try to be a good person.
