These Party Games are Played On Your TV Right from Your Phone and I Love Them

There is an entire genre of game where you and your friends gather ’round your TV (or computer) and use your smartphones as your gameplay devices.

When I tell you that Jackbox games are seriously fun, that doesn’t even do them justice.

My family recently took a trip to my brother’s house for a mini family reunion, and he introduced us to the wonderful world that is Jackbox games.

For Jackbox games, your phone or tablet is the controller and up to 8 people can play.

We all jumped on the Jackbox games bandwagon. From me — the oldest — down to my 9 year old nephew.

It was the ultimate hilarious fun.

The main action of the game happens on your TV (or wherever you launched the game), but players use their own mobile devices to input answers and make choices.

Even my teenage daughter and her cousin got involved, and they don’t participate in anything!!

Only one person in your group needs to own a Jackbox product in order to host the game.

There are so many Jackbox games you can choose to play. You can buy Party Packs — that include like 3 to 6 different games — or you can buy the games individually.

TRUST ME — once you play one Jackbox game, you will want them ALL!!

Some of the games are trivia related — often off-the-wall trivia.

For some of them you have to be quick on your feet and come up with the best definitions to made up words.

There’s one where you have to tell the best lie.

There’s even one where you have to come up with jokes.

I can’t really do them justice by just telling you about them. You have to try them!!

My favorite is Trivia Murder Party, where you have to fight to stay alive by perform random tasks — from answering rando trivia questions to transcribing spoken words the fastest on your phone keypad.

Seriously, it sounds weird, but I PROMISE you, Jackbox games are addicting!

You can even play remotely. You just have to have the game code and you can stream the game through a video conference call or you can do an online live stream.

You’ll laugh, and laugh, until the neighbors grow concerned.

Okay, enough of me trying to describe Jackbox games. Just go try one, and you will want them ALL!!

The individual games run $5 to $10. BUT, you can get bundles — which I highly recommend — that run about $12 to $50 depending on what bundle you want.
