The New PlayStation 5 Game ‘Stray’ Lets You Be A Mystery Solving Cat In A Neon-Lit Cyberpunk City
The new PS5 (can you believe we are already on PS5?!?) game, STRAY, allows you to be an inconspicuous cat, roaming a post apocalyptic city ruled by robots.
“RIP Humans” is spray painted in huge letters on a wall in one frame from the teaser — which leads me to believe the robots have taken over, which becomes clear as you see robot, after robot, after robot.
This cyberpunk game was developed by Blue Twelve Studio, and by the looks of the teaser, it is going to be a hella-cool game!
Apparently, the game is going to be full of mysteries, and it is going to be up to YOU — as this cute little cat — to solve all of those mysteries. I’m so curious what’s up with all the robots! Why so many mysteries?
The cat carries around a tiny backpack, and he (or she?) uses it to roam the streets of this cybercity and solve all the mysteries of this fallen town.
Our goal is to create a unique experience playing as a cat. We are inspired everyday by Murtaugh and Riggs, our two cats. Most of the team are cat owners as well, giving us all a lot of helpful first-hand references. Cats are always so playful, cute and lovingly annoying that it’s an endless stream of gameplay ideas for us.

It is also a very unique point of view for an adventure game. Exploring the strange world we are building feels really fresh when you’re sneaking under a car, or walking the rooftops with the inhabitants below unaware of your presence. Or if you want them to be aware, you can just meow endlessly to annoy them.

Stray is set to be released in 2021, and it gives me reason to love video games again! I have taken a short hiatus from video game obsession, but this one looks so unique and interesting, I think I’m going to have to dive back into the video game world.
Watch the teaser for Stray below, and get excited for the release!
