If you’ve ever been in a Starbucks line, the barista may have told you through the drive-thru window to put away your wallet because the guy or gal in front of you, kindly paid for your iced coffee and sandwich.

It makes your day doesn’t it? So what do you do, you pay for the car behind you and the random act of kindness chain continues throughout the day!

Although, you don’t have to wait for someone else to pay for your coffee at Starbucks to perform a random act of kindness.

Here are 10 random acts of kindess you can do everyday.

1). Starting with a food pantry near you, you can always donate non-perishable foods such as multiple cans of tuna, soup or beans to food pantries or churches.

2). Pay for someone’s groceries. Similar to purchasing food or drinks for the car behind you at Starbucks, you can do the same in line for the person in front of you at a grocery store.

3). Stash snacks in your car to hand out to someone in need.

4). Cook homemade meals for soup kitchens. Nothing says “have a good day” other than a homemade baked lasagna!

5). Give out an unexpected compliment. This random act of kindess is super simple to accomplish but it goes a long way to put a smile on someone’s face.

6). Volunteer at a soup kitchen. Along with packing up canned goods and donating a big box of food, you can also sign up to volunteer to serve hot meals.

7). Throw in a few quarters at a random expired parking meter that already has a parked car in front of it.

Most of us if not all, have had the sudden feeling of a pit in our stomachs when we realize our car has been sitting at a parked meter for more than 2 hours which is then followed by a sudden burst of sprints to save ourselves from a hefty ticket.

8). Pick up a piece of litter you see in the street or park and throw it out. Mother Nature will thank you later.

9). Take the time to leave a positive review for a small business you have previously visited and have had good experiences with!

10). Donate old books to your local library.

Do your part and participate in a random act of kindness!
