Reba McEntire is Returning to Television in a New Sitcom with Melissa Peterman
That feisty redhead is coming back to television in a brand-new sitcom and I can not wait!
Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman (Barbra Jean on ‘Reba’) are uniting once again for some laughs.
I have watched every single episode of ‘Reba’ multiple times with my family over the years. It’s one of those series that really nailed it, and I can’t believe it ended over 17 years ago!
The ‘Reba’ series ran from 2001-2007 and was an instant favorite for many, my favorite character was Van.
The new show has been picked up by Peacock.
In the new series, Reba plays Bobbie, a woman who inherits her father’s restaurant after he dies.
It’s only then that she learns of a half-sister who will also run the restaurant with her. The half-sister is played by Belissa Escobedo from ‘Hocus Pocus 2’
Melissa Peterman plays a character named Gabby and is a bartender at the restaurant. Not many details have been released so I’m not sure if Melissa will take on the airhead-style role again or something different.
Amazing! I get to work with Reba and our team and I’m so excited! She’s like coming home, I think that in this business, we have a lot of ‘Hollywood friends’ — friends that you share just the good stuff with. I think I knew that when we started sharing real-life stuff, that it was forever. I know she’s got my back whether we ever work together again. She is on my side always, and she knows I’m on hers.
Melissa Peterman said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
I’m pretty excited to check it out! The series is called ‘Happy’s Place’ and will debut during the 2024-2024 broadcast season on Peacock.
