Sam’s Club No Longer Takes Cake Orders Due to Massive Cake Shortage
Sam’s Club may just be the best place to get a delicious, custom cake at a bargain price. At least, used to be.
Sam’s Club locations all over the U.S. are turning customers away and are no longer taking cake or cupcake orders.
The reason? There is a massive cake shortage.
Now it’s important to know, this is not all locations but people all over are reporting that their cake orders are being cancelled or their store has signs posted that they are out of cake.
Basically, if you’re lucky enough to find cake at your local Sam’s Club, get it and cherish every bite.
How does one run out of cake?!
Well, apparently, rumors are, there was a fire at their distribution center (the place that actually makes the cakes) so no birthday cakes until May.
And with the shortage, it could actually push back cake and cupcake orders even further.
A reddit thread also confirms some of this information as employees are posting they are out of cake and are making specialty cakes using cookie cakes.
I have to say, I am really sad because Sam’s Club cake is MY FAVORITE. I just hope the issues are resolved by the time my birthday rolls around in August!
