Crying is an understatement right now.

Troy Katsur just won an Oscar for his performance in Coda.

In case you didn’t know, he is a deaf actor.

Aside from his win, the most magical moment is when he stood up to accept his award and instead of clapping, the entire room did the sign gesture for clapping which looks more like waving their hands.

It was incredible and such a beautiful moment.

During Troy’s acceptance speech, he signed…

“This is dedicated to the deaf community… This is our moment”.

He was so deserving of that Oscar and it was an amazing history making moment. People everywhere are crying literal tears of joy right now.
