As a barista, I LOVE making drinks. Which is why we started this at-home series on how to make your favorite Starbucks drinks at home!
Today we are going to cover the Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato. Yes, that’s a mouthful. But it’s worth it. Tropical coffee and chocolate goodness? Yes please!
This drink launched in 2016 and climbed the charts immediately.
The regular Caramel Macchiato is already one of the most staple drinks at Starbucks, so there was no surprise when this one took over.

To make the Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato, you will need these ingredients:
At Starbucks, the Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato is an espresso based drink.
It is lightly sweetened with white mocha, and then layered with coconut milk, espresso shots, with mocha and caramel drizzle on top.
The white mocha, mocha, and caramel sauce can be bought on Amazon or your local grocery store, along with the coconut milk as well.
If you have an espresso machine, you are good to go to make this drink 100%.
There are some stovetop versions as cheap as $6 on Amazon! I would highly suggest purchasing one if you want to make Starbucks drinks from home, because many of the drinks require espresso.
You can purchase normal Espresso Beans from Amazon, Starbucks, or any regular grocery store, but you are not required to specifically use an ‘espresso’ roast.
I personally use Verona Blend for my espresso because i love the cocoa notes. If you normally order blonde shots, use the Veranda Blend. Grind them on ‘Espresso Grind’ at your local Starbucks or at home if you own a grinder.
You will start by putting white mocha sauce into the bottom of your cup. Then, add your coconut milk. Then add ice, 2 shots of espresso, and caramel and mocha drizzle.

- 14 oz Coconut Milk
- 2 tbsp White Mocha Sauce
- 2 oz (shot glasses) espresso
- Caramel Sauce (Drizzle)
- Mocha Sauce (Drizzle)
- Start by putting your white mocha sauce into the bottom of the cup
- Add coconut milk and ice, but leave about 3-4 inches from the top of your cup.
- Add two shots (or 2oz) of espresso to the top of the drink.
- Finish with a mixture of caramel and mocha drizzle on top
You can also make this hot by warming your coconut milk and leaving out the ice!
