They can collapse or tip over, and a child’s torso can fit through the front and back openings — a serious entrapment and fall hazard. Stop using them now, store them away from kids, and contact Yiwushi Bihe Trading for a full refund.

Okay, so I don't want to alarm anyone, but this is one of those recalls you really do need to stop scrolling for.

The CPSC announced a recall on July 16, 2026 for the SDADI Kitchen Step Stools — specifically models LT01 and LT05. If you've got one of these tower stools in your kitchen right now, the fix is simple: stop using it, move it somewhere your kid can't get to it, and get your money back. Full refund. Done.

Here's everything you need to know without the panic spiral.

What exactly got recalled?

The recalled products are SDADI Kitchen Step Stools, models LT01 and LT05 — those tall tower-style step stools designed to let little ones stand at counter height. They sold at Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy between April 2024 and September 2025, priced anywhere from $45 to $155.

If you bought one of these in that window, you've got a recalled product in your house.

Why is this a big deal?

The hazard here isn't minor. The tower stools can collapse or tip over while a child is using them — and the openings on the front and back sides are large enough for a child's torso to fit through. That's the part that gets me. It's not just a tip-over risk. It's an entrapment risk.

The CPSC's official language is: tip over, fall, and entrapment hazards — and those words together mean this one deserves your full attention.

Yiwushi Bihe, the company behind the product, is aware of eight reports of instability or tip-overs, including four reported injuries — scrapes, cuts, and bruises. No deaths reported, no serious incidents reported to CPSC. But four injuries in a category that includes entrapment potential is enough reason to pull it immediately.

How do I know if I have one of the recalled models?

You're looking for model numbers LT01 or LT05. Check the stool itself — usually on a sticker on the underside or the back of the frame — or pull up your order confirmation from wherever you bought it.

If you grabbed it from Amazon, Walmart, Target, or Best Buy between April 2024 and September 2025 and it's a SDADI tower-style kitchen step stool, check those model numbers first before you assume you're in the clear.

What should I do right now?

Three steps, in this order.

First — stop using it. Don't let your kid on it today, not even once more while you figure out the return. Second — store it somewhere out of reach. A garage, a high shelf, anywhere a curious kid won't wander back to it. Third — contact Yiwushi Bihe Trading to get your full refund.

You can also check the CPSC's official recall page for the most current contact information and any updates to the remedy process. That page is where the CPSC posts every active recall, so bookmark it honestly — it's more useful than most people realize.

Is a full refund actually happening here?

Yes. The remedy is a full refund, which — good. That's the right call for a product with this kind of hazard. No partial store credit, no replacement unit. Just your money back.

If you paid $155 for this thing, you're getting $155 back. That part is genuinely straightforward, which isn't always the case with recalls.

poll

Did you know about this recall before reading this?

Yes, I already saw it somewhereNo, this is the first I’m hearing about itI have one of these stools — I’m checking right now
pick your answer — no counts saved, just for fun

What do I use in the meantime?

If you've got a kid who's been using this stool to help out in the kitchen — first, that's adorable, and second, you're going to want to find something else while this gets sorted. There are plenty of step stools and learning towers on the market that haven't been flagged, but I'd do a little research before grabbing the first thing you see.

Reading through real Amazon reviews from actual buyers before purchasing any step stool is genuinely worth the ten minutes. Look for reviews that mention stability with an active, wiggly kid on it — not just assembly ease. That's the detail that matters here. But what do I know?

One more thing worth saying

No deaths. No serious injuries reported to CPSC. That's the reality here, and I want to be straight with you about it rather than make this feel more catastrophic than it is.

But eight reports of instability with four injuries — including one involving a product that can trap a child's torso — is enough. The CPSC doesn't issue recalls lightly, and a full refund offer means the company knows this is a real problem. Take them up on it.

Check your kitchen. Check your model number. If it's an LT01 or LT05, move it out of reach today and get your refund started.

And then maybe share this with someone who has little kids in their house, because these stools were pretty widely sold and a lot of people aren't going to see this recall unless someone they trust passes it along.

That someone can be you.
