Sinfully Delicious Slow Cooker Hot Cocoa

Nothing tastes better on a cold winter day than a drink that heats you from the inside out. And that's exactly what this sinfully delicious slow cooker hot cocoa is made for. Decadent to the core, this traditional, easy recipe will fill your home with the sweet, sweet smell of chocolate as it cooks, and make you feel nothing but love from the first until the last sip. Forget powdered hot cocoa or syrup from the fridge, THIS is the only way cocoa should ever be made! Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 6 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Mini marshmallows for garnish
  • Cinnamon sticks for garnish

Instructions

  • 1. Combine everything but the marshmallows and cinnamon sticks in a 5 quart (or larger) slow cooker.
  • 2. Cover and cook on LOW for two hours, stirring occasionally with a whisk, until everything is melted.
  • 3. Once everything is melted, switch the heat to WARM and whisk again before serving.
  • 4. Garnish with mini marshmallows and place a cinnamon stick in each cup.
  • 5. Enjoy!

Notes

Pro Tip: Want to make this even more sinfully divine? Toast the marshmallows in the oven until golden brown. Allow them to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before topping each up. Trust me - your taste buds will thank you.
