Start with fresh potatoes, we like to use the Idaho potatoes found in our grocery store.
You’ll then want to wash your potatoes and remove any excess dirt from the skins.
Next, take a fork and poke several holes all over the potato to help it vent.
Next, rub the entire potato in olive oil covering it entirely.
Place onto a cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil and add freshly ground cracked pepper and sea salt.
Next, bake your baked potatoes on 350º F for 1 hour – flipping the potatoes at the 30 minute mark.
Once done, remove from the oven, cut open and add your toppings.
I like to start with the butter so it can melt into the warm potato.
Then I add the cheese so it can melt.
Then I add the cooked bacon (diced), sour cream and then top off with chives.
Enjoy!
