Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Cut the top 1/3 off of each apple (save the top), then core the apple (but leave a little at the bottom).
- Using a spoon, scoop out the apple, leaving about a 1" rim all around.
- In a medium sized bowl, mixed scooped apple bits, butter, brown sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon.
- Place apples into a casserole dish (you can spray the bottoms if you are worried about sticking).
- Scoop mixture back into each apple, and place top back on.
- Sprinkle white sugar over the tops of each apple.
- Cook in preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until soft on the inside. Enjoy!
Notes
You can make this dish even healthier by removing the butter. Though I enjoy the taste, it will taste just as good without. Serve with a glass of milk, and a smile.
