I absolutely love this recipe for Bird’s Nest Cupcakes. So simple, but perfect for any spring get-together. Easter? You betcha. Mother’s Day? Let’s do it. Random spring family adventure? Perfect cupcake.

Ingredients Method

Ingredients
  

  • 12 of your favorite vanilla cupcakes
  • 1 can of your favorite vanilla frosting
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • Candy eggs
  • #106 decorating tip

Method
 

  1. Make your favorite vanilla cupcakes.
  2. Place 1/2 teaspoon of the frosting on each cupcake and spread it out in a circle.
  3. With the remaining frosting, add cocoa powder and stir until it’s a consistent color throughout. 
  4. With the #106 decorating tip, swirl the chocolate frosting flat onto the cupcake starting in the center, working out towards the edge. Once the circle is big enough, swirl it upwards into a bird’s nest shape.
  5. Place 3 candy eggs inside each nest.
  6. Enjoy!
