- Send kids and/or significant other to the store to pick up "forgotten" item (toilet paper usually works, or ice cream...who's going to turn down ice cream?).
- Layer thin slices of lemon, lime, and broken mint into a glass.
- Add water.
- Sit down for five minutes (or ten if you're really brave) and do nothing but drink and breathe.
- Ignore the phone.
- Ignore the chores.
- Ignore the dog.
- Just take this time for you. Relax. Breathe. Be refreshed. You are amazing.
Notes
Honestly this is basically just lemon/lime/herb water with no sugar added. If you'd prefer a drink with a little more sweetness, try adding in sliced watermelon or a few fresh berries. You'll miss the added sugar at first, but if you drink this once a day, after a while you'll start to crave it. It really is that good for you.
