Easy Ginger Snaps

Homemade cookies are impressive. Always impressive. They're one of those things that make people feel like you really put in an effort. Thing is, though, you can show love without spending hours slaving over a stove. These Easy Ginger Snaps are proof of that. They are literally three steps: stir, roll, and bake. That easy. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup shortening
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • extra sugar for rolling

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Mix all ingredients.
  • Roll in sugar.
  • Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

For an even spicier, gingerier (is that a word?) ginger snap, roll the cookies in ginger sugar instead of just regular sugar. Double the ginger, double the fun!
