Easy Teriyaki Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • Teriyaki Sauce we used this homemade recipe
  • ½ Bundle Fresh Asparagus
  • ½ Cup Onion Diced
  • Green Onion Diced
  • Sesame Seeds optional, as topping
  • 2 Cups Cooked White Rice
  • Olive Oil Drizzle
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Start by making your homemade teriyaki sauce. You can certainly use store bought but since we are going for homemade here, I made my own using this recipe.
  2. Next, cook your white rice and set aside.
  3. Now, blanch your asparagus. This is the perfect way to make asparagus by boiling for 3-4 min then put in ice water and set aside.
  4. Next, sauté chicken with oil salt and pepper. I sliced my chicken into thin slices so it’d help cook faster and it’s easier to eat when cooked.
  5. Remove from pan and set aside.
  6. Add a drizzle of oil and caramelize the onion, garlic and ginger.
  7. Add in your asparagus and chicken to get it all nice and hot.
  8. Add your homemade teriyaki sauce and turn down the heat. You want to toss ingredients in sauce and get them all nice and hot.
  9. Put teriyaki chicken and veggies over rice and top off with sesame seeds and green onions.
  10. Enjoy!
