Mississippi Mud Bars

Ingredients
  

Bars:
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup softened margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ¼ cups flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • dash of salt
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
Sauce:
  • ½ cup margarine
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a large bowl, cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs one by one and continue to beat until well blended. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, vanilla and salt.
  3. Pour into a 13x9 inch pan and bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes before spreading marshmallows over the top.
  4. Next, melt margarine in medium saucepan. Stir in cocoa powder and milk, bring to a boil, and cook for 5 minutes while stirring constantly. Remove from heat and mix in powdered sugar until sauce is smooth.
  5. Pour over marshmallows. Enjoy!
