Mr. Cranberry Cocktail

No holiday party is complete without a selection of drinks to keep your guests happy, but sometimes it's hard to find a good balance between overly-fruity (some might say "girly") cocktails and, well, beer. But if you want something that's fancy enough for a party but not too sweet - and not too expensive that you'd rather suffer through an endless amount of cheap, watery beer in the name of surviving an encounter with your in-laws - then you should probably give this Mr. Cranberry Cocktail a try. Just make sure you call him "mister"...he gets annoyed when you don't.
Course: Drink Up

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces apricot juice
  • 2 ounces Deep Eddy Cranberry vodka
  • 2 ounces cranberry juice
  • 1/2- ounce simple syrup see our pro-tip below!
  • Ice cubes

Method

  1. Using a tube of baker's white frosting, dot the inside of a martini glass to create the effect of falling snow.
  2. Place the glass in the freezer for 12 minutes.
  3. In a martini shaker, add apricot juice, cranberry vodka, cranberry juice and simple syrup. Add ice cubes and shake vigorously.
  4. Strain into the frosted martini glass.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
  6. Pro-tip: To make simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar is dissolved, then let it cool before using it in this and all sorts of other drinks!
