Rum and Coke Cake Sundae Is Beyond Delicious

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 cups Cake Flour you can use all purpose
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup cocoa powder we used Hershey’s Special Dark!
  • 1 cup of cola
  • 1 shot of rum

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350
  2. Grease and flour a 9x13 pan
  3. Using a hand mixer, combine the sugar, eggs, vanilla, butter and milk, blend until smooth
  4. Add the flour, baking soda and cocoa powder. Mix well. (We do not use a two bowl method
  5. because we don’t like the extra dirty dishes! It comes out the same every time!)
  6. Lastly, stir in the rum and coke, mix well.
  7. Pour into the greased pan, tap the pan on the counter a few times to remove air bubbles.
  8. Bake for 40 minutes or until a knife (toothpick, your choice) comes out clean when inserted in
  9. the middle.
