Shark Cupcakes

These Shark Cupcakes are made with whipped frosting as blue as the ocean and shark candies to help bring the idea together. These are the perfect treat to Shark Week!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 C. sugar
  • ½ C. butter melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 ½ C. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ C. milk
  • Pillsbury blue frosting
  • blue/white gummy sharks
  • star shaped frosting tip
  • plastic icing bag
  • white lifesavers
  • Wilton red gel icing

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree and line a 12
    ct muffin tin with cupcake liners (optional).
  2. Combine the cupcake ingredients,
    mixing well. 
  3. Fill each cupcake tin about 3/4
    full. 
  4. Bake for 20-23 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. 
  5. Let the cupcakes cool completely prior to
    frosting
  6. Once the cupcakes have cooled completely, attach the
    frosting tip to your icing bag and fill with blue frosting. Generously frost each Shark cupcake with blue frosting. 
  7. Place 1 gummy Shark on top of each cupcake
  8. Then give each cupcake 1 Lifesaver and use the Wilton
    red icing to make lines on it like to look like a life preserver.
  9. Repeat with all cupcakes. 
  10. Serve and enjoy!
